We are particularly happy to welcome BAROLO DOCG “MONPRIVATO” 2016 to the Italian Wine Crypto Bank portfolio.
The Monprivato Barolo DOCG from the Sordo winery is one of the flagship wines of this producer.
The grapes used for the production of Monprivato come from a single vineyard, called “Monprivato”, with
calcareous soil and south-west exposure, one of the best vineyards in the Barolo area.
The wine displays a ruby red color with bright garnet hints, with a lively hue. It has aromas of red and black
fruits, such as cherries and plums, combined with flower notes. The complex bouquet closes with
developing tertiary aromas towards hints of dry leaves, licorice and sweet tobacco. The tannins and acidity
of this wine are perfectly balanced by the high alcohol content and the sensation of sweetness brought by
the aromas of red fruits.
Monprivato Barolo DOCG 2016 has a great ageing potential which is at least around 20 years, during which
it will develop the elegant tertiary scents that can already be recognized on the nose.
