“The history of the winery of the Marquises Mazzei is an ancient one. Since 1435 the land around the castle of Fonterutoli is the progenitor of a great Chianti Classico and a dynasty of passionate, indefatigable gentlemen of wine. This is why I decided to start from the family crest and the marquis crown, symbols of continuity, identity and traditions. But the double helix of DNA moves inside: the genetic and cultural imprint of a company that does not stop, evolve, look to the future. Within this coat of arms the dates follow each other, from 1435 to today, so as not to forget the past when thinking about the present. Per questo ho pensato di partire dallo stemma di famiglia e dalla corona marchionale, simboli di continuità, di identità e di tradizioni. Ma all’interno si muove la doppia elica del DNA: l’impronta genetica e culturale di un’azienda che non si ferma, evolve, guarda al futuro. Dentro questo stemma si inseguono le date, da quella del 1435 a oggi, per non dimenticare il passato quando si pensa al presente.
