“Marianova is a wine that tells a lot about its creator, Giacomo Satta. Some kind of fingerprint. Inside is the past and the future, the memory and the perspective. It is a portrait made with grapes. This is why I thought that Giacomo’s face should be the first trace to follow in this narrative. The features that compose it are decisive and full of colors. Like the Marianova they express energy and vitality. To understand it you have to go inside the bottle, explore the world that develops over a year of aging in amphora. Here Syrah and Sangiovese meet in equal parts: I imagined the meeting between these historic vines as a dance between the leaves of the two varieties. Eventually these signs, these footprints, are transformed into the name of the wine and into the sweet and powerful landscapes of Bolgheri.”

“Marianova è un vino che racconta molto del suo creatore, Giacomo Satta. Una specie di impronta digitale. Dentro si trova il passato e il futuro, la memoria e la prospettiva. È un ritratto fatto con l’uva. Per questo ho pensato che il volto di Giacomo dovesse essere la prima traccia da seguire in questa narrazione. I tratti che lo compongono sono decisi e pieni di colori. Come il Marianova esprimono energia e vitalità. Per capirlo bisogna entrare dentro la bottiglia, esplorare il mondo che si sviluppa in un anno di invecchiamento in anfora. Qui si incontrano, in parti uguali, il Syrah e il Sangiovese: ho immaginato l’incontro tra questi vitigni storici come una danza tra le foglie delle due varietà. Alla fine questi segni, queste impronte, si trasformano nel nome del vino e nei paesaggi, dolci e potenti, di Bolgheri.”
